Jarvis Brook FC Gears Up for Historic 2025/26 Season After Promotion
Jarvis Brook Football Club, proudly based in Crowborough, East Sussex, have been preparing enthusiastically for their debut season in Division 1 of the Southern Combination Football League. Following their promotion last year, the club will, for the first time in its history, compete as a semi-professional senior football team—a significant milestone that has brought both excitement and considerable challenges.
The promotion sparked a whirlwind of activity over the summer months, with extensive upgrades made to the club’s facilities to meet the demands of senior football. A major highlight has been the installation of floodlights at their home ground, newly renamed the “Tester & Jones Sportsground” after securing a sponsorship deal that reflects the club’s growing stature.
Behind the scenes, the club’s committee and dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to ready the ground for the new season. Their efforts culminated in a busy final week of preparations, laying the foundations for what promises to be an exciting campaign. Among the many tasks completed were the setup of goals, preparation of the pitch, installation of 160 fence posts and panels surrounding the playing area, as well as the erection of ball stop nets to enhance safety and control during matches.
Further improvements include a new pitch-side bar, over 50 sponsor boards installed to showcase local business support, and the arrival of the new season’s kit— sponsored by Prosperity IFA
With these substantial investments in infrastructure and the unwavering dedication of everyone involved, Jarvis Brook FC is poised to make a strong impact in Division 1 this season and to top it all off, supporters and all those connected with the club were richly rewarded with an impressive 2-0 victory in the opening home game, setting a positive tone for the campaign ahead.

Jarvis Brook FC to play at the Tester & Jones Sportsground
This comes after a hugely successful 2024/2025 season for Jarvis Brook FC, which saw the Club promoted to Division One of the Southern Combination Football League – marking a move into senior football for the first time in the Club’s history!
Tester & Jones Funeral Services is proud to have signed a significant sponsorship agreement with Jarvis Brook Football Club – resulting in the Club’s ground in Palesgate Lane officially being named The Tester & Jones Sportsground for the next two years.
“We are so pleased to sponsor Jarvis Brook Football Club,” says Glenys Jones of Tester & Jones Funeral Services. “Like us, they are in the heart of the Crowborough community and have been for many years. We look forward to attending matches, especially with the excitement of being in Senior football for the coming season.”
Tester & Jones’ Chairman Willy Brunsdon and Managing Director Glenys Jones, were delighted to shake hands on the deal with Jarvis Brook FC’s new Chairman, Josh Allcorn, who said: “We thank Willy and Glenys for their generous sponsorship for the naming rights to our ground. Not only does this help over 80 men’s players fulfil their dreams of playing Senior football but also provides a pathway for our 350 junior players to have something to work towards in the future. This sponsorship contributes hugely to the work going into developing our ground over this summer.”
Jarvis Brook FC can trace its history back nearly 130 years – with the first ever recorded match being a 1-1 draw at home to Rotherfield St Denys on 25 September 1897. Since then, the Club has grown to include not only Senior Football but Mini Soccer and Youth Football teams as well.
